At Aalekhya Fashion, we take immense pride in the craftsmanship, authenticity, and luxury of our hand-painted and handcrafted sarees and apparel. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase.

Please read through our Exchange, Return, and Refund Policy below to ensure a seamless experience and clear understanding of our terms.

1. Key Safeguards & Inspection Requirements

Mandatory 360-Degree Unboxing Video

To protect both the customer and the brand against transit damage, missing items, or wrong deliveries, a continuous, unedited 360-degree unboxing video is strictly mandatory.

• The video must clearly show the unopened parcel with the Blue Dart shipping label visible, followed by the complete opening of the parcel and detailed inspection of the product.

• Claims for damages, missing components, or defects submitted without an unboxing video will not be accepted.
  

24-Hour Damage & Defect Notification

• Any defect, transit damage, or wrong product delivery must be reported to contact@aalekhyafashion.com within 24 hours of delivery.

Artisanal & Hand-Painted Disclaimer

• As our products feature genuine hand-painted art and handloom craft, slight variations in brushstrokes, paint texture, weave, or subtle colour tones are natural hallmarks of handcrafted artwork, not defects.

2. Return & Refund Policy

To qualify for a return, the product must be in unused, unwashed, unworn, and unaltered condition, with all original tags, hygiene seals, and packaging intact.

Timeline

• Notification Window: Contact us within 24 hours of delivery.

• Return Window: The reverse pickup or self-shipment must be initiated within 7 calendar days of delivery.

Non-Returnable & Non-Exchangeable Items

• Customised/Tailored Goods: Any saree or apparel item with custom blouse stitching, fall/pico service, length alterations, or custom hand-painting customisation.

• Sale & Promotional Items: Products purchased during sales, clearance, or using discount coupon codes.

• Damaged by Wear: Any item exhibiting perfume odours, makeup/deodorant marks, or signs of wear.

3. Refund Options

Once your returned item arrives at our facility and successfully passes our quality inspection, you may choose one of two refund methods:

Option A: Aalekhya Store Credit (Recommended)

• 100% Refund Credit: Receive full 100% store credit of the purchase price added to your Aalekhya E-Wallet or account.

• Bonus Voucher: Receive an additional ₹500 gift voucher for your next purchase.

• Validity: Store credit never expires and can be redeemed anytime on our website.

Option B: Bank Transfer / Original Payment Source

• Processing & Restocking Fee: Refund of approximately 85% of the product price (15% deducted towards payment gateway charges and administrative handling).

• Reverse Pickup Fee: A deduction of ₹200 towards return pickup and courier logistics (may vary for heavy or bulky shipments).

• Payout Method: Processed via UPI (Google Pay, Paytm, PhonePe) or Bank Transfer within 3–5 business days post-inspection. No cash refunds are provided.

4. Return & Inspection Process

1. Initiate Request: Email contact@aalekhyafashion.com within 24 hours of delivery with your Order ID, reason for return, and the mandatory 360-degree unboxing video.

2. Reverse Pickup: Upon approval, our logistics partner (Blue Dart) will initiate reverse pickup within 2–3 business days.

3. Self-Shipment (Unserviceable Pin Codes): If reverse pickup is unavailable in your location, you may ship the item back using a reliable trackable courier service at your own cost. Include your Order ID and Return Request Number inside the box.

4. Quality Inspection: All items are rigorously checked upon receipt. If the product fails inspection (e.g., worn, stained, missing tags), it will be shipped back to you at your expense.

5. Refund Issuance: Upon passing inspection, your chosen refund method (Store Credit or Bank Refund) will be processed within 2–3 business days.

5. Exchange Policy

We offer one free exchange for eligible orders (subject to stock availability).

• Process: Submit an exchange request within 24 hours of delivery. Once approved, we will arrange a reverse pickup via Blue Dart.

• Verification: After receiving and inspecting the original item, we will dispatch the replacement item to you at no additional shipping charge.

• Processing Time: The entire exchange cycle typically takes 5–7 working days.

6. Order Cancellation Policy

• Before Dispatch: You may cancel your order at any time before it is handed over to our shipping partner for a 100% full refund.

• After Dispatch: Once an order has been dispatched from our warehouse, it cannot be canceled in transit. You must receive the parcel and follow the standard return process outlined above.

Shipping Policy

At Aalekhya Fashion, we strive to ensure that your carefully crafted pieces reach you safely and promptly. The estimated delivery time for each piece is mentioned on its respective product details page. Please note that the delivery time for your order starts from the date of Order Confirmation.

1. Our Shipping Partner

To ensure the highest reliability and security for your luxury items, we use Blue Dart as our exclusive shipping partner for all domestic and international deliveries.

2. Shipments Within India

• Standard Delivery: The usual delivery time for an order is 5 to 7 business days from the date of Order Confirmation, depending on the products ordered.

• Free Shipping: We offer free shipping on all orders within India. All prepaid domestic orders are automatically eligible for free shipping.

• Customisation (e.g., Blouse Stitching): For products requiring customisation, an additional 7 to 10 business days will be required before dispatch.

• Ready-to-Wear Sarees: An additional 7 business days will be required to prepare and deliver these products.

• Hand-Painted & Handcrafted Products: Because of the intricate artistry involved in our hand-painted sarees and handcrafted products, it may take 15 to 20 business days for dispatch from the date of the order.

3. International Shipments

• Shipping Charges: For international deliveries outside of India, shipping charges will be applied extra, calculated based on the weight and volume of the order at checkout.

• Handcrafted Products (International): For international delivery of handcrafted and hand-painted products, please allow 15 to 20 business days for dispatch.

• Customs and Duties: For deliveries outside India, customs duties and local taxes must be paid by the customer to our shipping partner (Blue Dart) at the time of delivery. The amount of duties and taxes depends heavily on the policies of your destination country and is not under our control.

4. Urgent Orders

For any orders that are urgent and required to be delivered within an earlier timeframe than standard, we request that you contact the Aalekhya Fashion Support Team prior to placing the order to confirm feasibility.

5. Order Confirmation & Dispatch Process

• Prepaid Orders: No confirmation attempt will be made. The order will be processed immediately and dispatched within the given Turnaround Time (TAT).

• Cash on Delivery (COD) Orders: Our dispatch team will contact you to verify and confirm your COD order before shipping. COD orders will only be dispatched upon receiving your verbal or written confirmation.

• Unreachable COD Customers: If there is no response to our calls, messages, or emails confirming the dispatch within 3 days of our first attempt, the COD order will be marked as canceled at the end of the 3rd day.

6. Delivery Attempts & Unsuccessful Deliveries

• In the event that a delivery is unsuccessful due to circumstances on the customer's end (e.g., unavailable to receive the package), a second attempt will be made after confirming with the customer.

• If the second delivery attempt is still unsuccessful, the customer will be required to bear extra shipping charges for a third attempt.

• If the customer is unable or unwilling to pay these extra charges, the order will be marked as canceled, and Aalekhya Fashion reserves the right to decline future orders from that customer.

7. Cancellations & Unforeseen Delays

• Cancellations: Cancellation requests must be submitted prior to order dispatch. Once an order has been successfully handed over to Blue Dart, cancellation is not permitted, and no refunds will be issued in such cases.

• Delays: At times, orders can be delayed due to unforeseen logistical reasons outside of our control. If your order is delayed beyond 2 weeks of the estimated Delivery Time, our team will proactively get in touch with you to check if you would still like to continue with your order or explore other options.

8. Order Tracking & Receiving (Added for clarity)

• Tracking: Once your order is dispatched, you will receive an email and SMS containing your Blue Dart tracking number (AWB) and a link to track your package's journey.

• Address Accuracy: Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate shipping addresses, including correct pin codes and contact numbers. Aalekhya Fashion is not liable for delays or lost packages resulting from incorrect shipping information.

• Damaged Packages: If the external packaging appears tampered with, damaged, or opened at the time of delivery, please do not accept the parcel. Immediately contact our support team with photographic or video evidence so we can raise a dispute with our shipping partner.
